YOUR JOURNEY. YOUR WAY. SUPPORTED & SEEN
Meet your Doula
AnneLisa Vallery
A dear sister friend asked me to be her doula for her 6th baby and her first out of hospital birth. She was both scared and following her intuitive guidance to experience birth with minimum interventions. Shocked by her request, I paused to tune into my inner wisdom, I heard her say: “I need you there for me, to make sure I come back to my body.”
As I accepted her request, a sense of peace flooded my body. Seven months later, she gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl. Mama celebrated as she had the birth she envisioned. 💛💛💛

from another mama's heart to yours …
"I cannot recommend AnneLisa enough! She was our postpartum doula for overnight care for our second baby. We originally contracted for 6 weeks, and ended up extending for 3 additional weeks because it was that amazing!
I ended up having postpartum health complications, and felt lucky to have AnneLisa in my corner to support me during one of the most difficult times in my life. Because of her, I was able to sleep knowing my baby was taken care of while I allowed myself time to recover.
AnneLisa showed up every day confident, empathetic, curious, and energetic. I could tell she really cared about us and our baby. She was always asking questions and looking for ways to lend a helping hand, whether by talking to me through any anxieties I was having, or suggesting and making different herbal teas to support my journey. She was proactive in making sure she was following any preferences we may have for newborn care, and constantly made space for feedback from us- ensuring we were always in the driver’s seat with how our baby was being cared for.
AnneLisa truly goes above and beyond, and takes her job as a doula very seriously. I feel lucky to have had her support my postpartum journey. ”

A Glimpse Into Our Time Together
Working with me feels like relief as you're held in a loving circle of care. I’m not here to coach you through a checklist. I’m here to guide you, walk with you, witness you, and honor the unfolding of your journey.
Whether it’s laughing during a prenatal session, gently holding your hand as we discuss your fears, or anchoring you in breath through the waves of labor, I got you Mama! With a presence that is intuitive, calm, and grounded, I listen with my heart and move from a place of deep reverence for who you are and how you choose to birth.
From first kick through the first cuddles,
I’m with you every step of the way. Together, we’ve got this.
“You've provided us with so much care, time and sleep which allowed us to be fully present during the day with our son during the day, and we are so grateful for that. We have really appreciated your guidance as this is all so new to us and how willing you are to hear our feedback.”

Let's ease your worries
What is a doula?
A doula is a sacred guide and non-medical support person who nurtures, informs, and advocates for birthing families. I help you connect with your body, your voice, and your spiritual guidance.
Why should I hire a doula?
Doulas reduce intervention rates and increase positive birth outcomes. Studies show doulas help decrease cesarean rates by 50%, reduce labor length, and enhance emotional well-being.
When should I hire a doula?
The earlier, the better, ideally between 18–20 weeks. This gives us time to build trust and align with your vision.
What is a birth plan and do I need one?
A birth plan outlines your birth preferences and helps your care team understand your values. We’ll create this together in our prenatal sessions.
I’m not having a “natural” birth. Can I still work with you?
Absolutely. I support all types of birth — hospital, home, medicated, unmedicated, cesarean, water birth. What matters is that your choices are informed and your values honored.
Will you replace my partner in the birth space?
Not at all. My role is to support both of you. I help your partner feel more confident, grounded, and involved throughout the process. We work as a team so you both feel seen, supported, and empowered.
"My family has been lucky enough to partner with AnneLisa during our postpartum journey. She is self proclaimed holistic and that term is just right. At night time, AnneLisa comes to your house and spends time checking in with the Mom and finding out any information about baby. She writes notes about her night with baby and shares with both parents. She ends her service by making a very large breakfast (her oatmeal lasted me at least 3 servings each time).
During the daytime, she checks in on Mom again, and that can come as talking, French hair braiding or massage. She can also teach you newborn skills like how to take baby out for a walk, or how to bathe baby.
On top of all this, AnneLisa partners with a wonderful woman in the insurance industry who can help you check to see what is covered and even help try and get reimbursements.
If you’re looking for a doula, while I can only attest to her postpartum skills, I’m sure she’s amazing as a birth doula as well. I highly recommend working with AnneLisa."
